Product Description:
The 175H1682 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts a fixed-frequency three-phase supply into a regulated output that allows automation controllers to vary motor speed, improving process control and energy use. An integrated brake chopper handles regenerative energy during rapid stops, and the built-in RFI filter minimizes conducted emissions so the drive can share panels with sensitive instrumentation.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 30.0 kW, a rating that indicates the maximum mechanical power the connected motor can provide under a steady load. It accepts a three-phase input of 3 × 440/460/500 V, so it connects directly to common industrial power supplies without a transformer. At constant-torque duty, the inverter supplies 54.0 A and can provide up to 46.8 kVA at the motor terminals; these values support the proper thermal sizing of contactors and cabling. Full-load efficiency reaches 0.96, meaning only four percent of the electrical power is lost as heat, which simplifies enclosure cooling. Two start commands per minute are permitted, protecting the power stage from excessive inrush current. Protective hardware upstream may be fused to 100 A, and the prefuse limit coordinates clearing times with the drive’s semiconductor protection.
Under variable-torque profiles, the inverter can deliver 65.0 A and up to 56.3 kVA, supporting centrifugal pumps and fans that demand higher peak current during acceleration. The metal housing is rated IP20, so the drive requires installation inside a cabinet but provides touch-safe access to its terminals. Power wiring can be connected to lugs that accept conductors up to 35.0 mm², accommodating long cable runs with minimal voltage drop. The unit operates at up to 95% relative humidity without condensation. It also withstands vibration of up to 0.7 g during transport and service.
