Product Description:
The 175H1672 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase supply power into a variable output that lets industrial controllers match motor speed to process demand. Common applications include conveyors, centrifugal pumps, and ventilation systems where electronically controlled acceleration lowers mechanical stress and energy use. Installed between the mains and an induction motor, the unit supplies modulated voltage and frequency while monitoring critical operating parameters to protect connected equipment.
The drive draws a maximum input of 37.3 A in constant-torque (CT) mode and protects upstream wiring through a 60 A prefuse. At the output, it can supply 41.4 A continuously in CT duty or 54.0 A when the variable-torque profile is selected. These currents correspond to a CT apparent power of 36.0 kVA and a VT mechanical rating of 30.0 kW. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, limiting thermal losses to 958 W, which are removed by natural convection inside an IP20 housing. Field wiring terminals accept copper conductors up to 35 mm², and an integrated RFI filter attenuates conducted noise on both the input and motor leads.
When high starting torque is required, the controller can deliver 67.2 A for 60 seconds without tripping, and its CT rated power is 22.0 kW. Continuous operation is permitted in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, provided forced cabinet cooling is maintained so internal losses remain within design limits. The drive has passed a 0.7 g vibration test, confirming its suitability for wall mounting near rotating machinery. The assembled unit weighs 49 kg, which should be considered when selecting panel reinforcement and installation equipment.
