Product Description:

The 175H1263 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss and delivered within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed three-phase input into a commanded output waveform so that asynchronous motors can be started, stopped, and held at precise speed or torque. Inside automated lines, the unit replaces mechanical throttling by trimming motor speed electrically, which helps conveyors, pumps, and fans match process demand while interfacing with standard 380–415 V switchgear.

Incoming power is accepted at 3 x 380/400/415 VAC, and the control logic remains stable on either 50 Hz or 60 Hz grids. These values align with motors that carry the same nominal voltage rating, so a step-down transformer is not required. Under constant-torque duty, the inverter delivers a rated output of 61 A, corresponding to a typical apparent power of 44 kVA at its terminals. The drive supports motor power up to 30 kW, which is suitable for medium compressors or HVAC blowers. Pulse-width modulation permits output frequencies up to 500 Hz, so oversynchronous operation or compact high-speed machines are possible. Drive losses are limited by an efficiency of 0.96 at full load, which reduces panel heat and simplifies thermal management.

For upstream protection, a time-delay fuse not exceeding 100 A is specified, and the converter’s peak line demand reaches 55.6 A, which is useful when sizing disconnects or contactors. Motor leads may be run in copper up to 35 mm², a conductor size chosen to support the overload capability of 97.6 A for 60 s during starts. Speed tables can call on a selectable base of 50/60/87/100 Hz, which keeps magnetic flux within intended limits for different pole counts. Continuous duty is allowed in ambient air up to 45 °C, enabling placement in warm production areas without forced ventilation.
