Product Description:
The VACON0020-3L-0023-4+DLTR is a low-voltage AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VACON 20 Low Voltage Drives series. As a compact frequency converter, it accepts a three-phase supply and delivers a modulated output that allows motor speed, torque, and energy use to be regulated across automated lines and HVAC auxiliary systems. The variable-frequency output supports gradual acceleration and deceleration, which can reduce mechanical stress on belts, couplings, and driven equipment. An enclosure class of IP21 / NEMA 1 allows installation inside clean electrical rooms while still providing finger-safe protection.
Internal thermal management requires a cooling airflow of 45 m³/h, which passes through the 165 × 370 × 165 mm frame to remove switching losses generated at the default carrier frequency of 4 kHz. Speed setpoints can be adjusted in 0.01-hertz increments because the drive has a frequency resolution of 0.01 Hz, making it suitable for precise flow or positioning duties. Input conductors are protected by a 25-amp fuse, and the converter draws a nominal 25.5 A from the mains when delivering a rated motor current of 23 A. The unit uses a three-phase supply, and the recommended mains cable consists of three 6 mm² conductors and one 6 mm² ground conductor.
The control section can extend the operating range up to 320 Hz, allowing high-speed spindles or special-pole motors to operate without mechanical gear changes. During transient load peaks, the inverter withstands an overload current of 34.5 A and can use a braking resistor with a minimum resistance of 28 Ω to dissipate regenerated energy. It supports motors up to 11 kW, matching many medium-frame IEC motors used on conveyors or compressors. The drive has a mass of 9 kg, which reduces handling demands during panel mounting. Its compact frame also limits the amount of cabinet space needed while maintaining clearance for the required cooling airflow.
