The VACON0020-3L-0009-4 Low Voltage Drive is made to give constant power and operational safety along with secure operation in high-demanding tasks. The device delivers a power of 4 kW, which is adequate for many low voltage drive applications. It is driven by an input current of 9.0 A and also features protection support with a maximum overload current of 13.5 A, which is 1.5 times the nominal input current.

This overloading feature makes the drive suitable to support sudden changes in loads or bursts of higher demand without affecting performance. The range of frequencies this unit supports starts at 45 Hz and goes up to 66 Hz, supporting smooth operation in different conditions of supply. Altitude ratings also make it more flexible, as it can be operated to 1000 meters without derating, and to 3000 meters using a cold plate, which makes it possible to install it in an array of installation locations from higher altitude. Integrated functional safety is another strength of this model. The drive comes with STO (Safe Torque Off) certification to SIL3, providing improved protection in the form of safe torque cutting during critical safety events.
