The VACON0020-3L-0005-4 +EMC2+QPES+DLFI variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss within the VACON 20 Low Voltage Drives series. The unit converts fixed three-phase mains power into a modulated output that lets controllers adjust induction motor speed for conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. Its compact MI2 design allows cabinet installation where space is limited, and the model supports the three-phase supplies commonly found in industrial automation panels.
Cooling is handled by an internal fan that moves 10 m³/h of air across the heat sink. Its integrated filter places the device in electromagnetic compatibility class C2, permitting installation on networks with moderate emission limits without external modules. Output frequency can be adjusted in increments of 0.01 Hz, providing precise speed control for vector or V/Hz operation. The drive supports motor cables up to 30 m long when 3×1.5 + 1.5 mm² conductors are used, maintaining voltage integrity between the inverter and motor. The continuous motor output is rated at 1.5 kW, which is the maximum mechanical power available under rated ambient conditions.
The nominal input current is 5.6 A, while a short-term overload capacity of 6.5 A lets the drive handle acceleration peaks without nuisance trips.
