The VACON0020-3L-0001-4-R02 is a low-voltage AC drive produced by Danfoss for the VACON 20 Low Voltage Drives series. The unit converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into a variable-frequency output so that small induction motors can be speed-controlled in conveyors, mixers, or pump skids. By incorporating basic I/O and scalar control functions, it provides a compact regulator for 0.37-kilowatt machines in general machine-building and OEM panels.
Under continuous duty, the inverter delivers 1.3 A of output current, matching the thermal rating of a 0.37 kW motor, while a short-term overload capacity of 2 A allows brief acceleration without tripping. The cooling channel requires only 10 m³/h of airflow, so natural-draft cabinet ventilation is often sufficient. The frequency resolution reaches 0.01 Hz, enabling fine speed adjustments when controlling fan or dosing applications. Electrical protection is coordinated with a motor circuit breaker, but the drive draws only 2.2 A from the three-phase line during nominal operation and supports ramped starts through its scalar algorithm.
Panel integration is simplified by an overall height of 160 mm, a width of 66 mm, and a depth of 98 mm. The complete drive weighs only 0.55 kg and can clip onto a DIN rail without extra support. Upstream protection uses a 6 A fast-acting fuse, which limits prospective fault current while remaining above the converter’s 2.2 A running draw. Each of the six digital inputs presents a 10 kΩ impedance, reducing control-circuit loading, while the isolated auxiliary terminal can supply up to 50 mA to sensors or external relays. Standard mains and motor leads use a 3 × 1.5 mm² conductor set with a dedicated protective ground. The drive accepts three-phase supplies from 200 to 240 V to support compact factory installations.
