Product Description:
The VACON0020-1L-004-2+DLDE is a compact AC variable-frequency drive from Danfoss and belongs to the VACON 20 Low Voltage Drives series. Designed for cabinet-mounted installations, it converts single-phase mains power into a modulated three-phase output that governs induction motor speed in conveyors, mixers, and other light-duty process equipment. By adjusting output frequency and voltage, the unit provides precise torque control, energy savings, and reduced mechanical wear within small-horsepower automation cells.
Its continuous output current is rated at 3.7 A, a level the inverter can supply indefinitely without thermal derating. The factory switching frequency of 4 kHz balances acoustic noise and dynamic response by controlling how often the IGBTs switch each second. For upstream protection, the recommended semiconductor fuse is 20 A, allowing faults to clear before components are damaged. The input section accepts single-phase power, allowing installation on standard 200–240 V utility feeds. Short-circuit withstand capability reaches 50 kA, so a suitable high-interrupting-capacity circuit breaker can be selected for the installation. The chassis measures 90 mm wide, 102 mm deep, and 195 mm high, making it suitable for compact control panels. Spring terminals accommodate a mains cable with 2 × 2.5 + 2.5 mm² conductors and a motor cable with 3 × 1.5 + 1.5 mm² conductors.
During transient loading, the drive can deliver an overload current of 5.6 A for short periods, supporting motor acceleration under increased demand. The connected motor can have an output rating of up to 0.75 kW. A cooling airflow of 10 m³/h keeps the heat sinks within operating limits, and reliable operation is maintained at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. The aluminum chassis weighs 0.7 kg, which simplifies panel handling and helps keep vibration mass low in mobile machinery.
