The VACON0100-3L-0046-4-X+FBIE+HGMR is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VACON 100 Industrial Drives series. Designed for conveyor lines, pump stations, and general machinery, the unit converts fixed mains power into an adjustable three-phase output so a PLC can regulate motor speed and torque according to process demand. It functions as the motor-control interface between automation equipment and a connected squirrel-cage motor. The drive combines power conversion, fieldbus connectivity, and local input and output channels in a single enclosure suitable for decentralized industrial automation.
The drive provides a continuous output current of 46 A, supporting sustained motor operation within its rated load range. During rapid acceleration, it supplies a short-term overload current of 76 A for two seconds, helping heavy loads overcome static friction. The housing has an IP66 rating, sealing the internal electronics against dust and powerful water jets. Its compact MM6 frame supports installation near machinery where available mounting space is limited. Rated motor power reaches 22 kW on a 400 V supply or 30 HP on a 480 V supply. A thermistor trip threshold of 4.7 kΩ allows the drive to respond when a connected motor approaches an excessive winding temperature. Native Ethernet ports support PROFINET IO and EtherNet/IP communication for real-time control, status monitoring, and plant-level diagnostics. These network options allow the drive to exchange operating commands and fault information with compatible industrial control systems.
