The VACON0100-3L-0005-5-FLOW+IP54+FL03+DPAP+DLNL is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VACON 100 Industrial Drives series. As a stand-alone converter, it modulates three-phase mains voltage to regulate induction motor speed and torque in pumps, fans, and similar process equipment used in industrial automation. Local control wiring includes six digital inputs, two analog inputs, one analog output, and three relay outputs. These connections allow the unit to accept sensor feedback and send operating status signals directly to supervisory PLC modules.
During operation, the drive supplies motors with up to 2.2 kW of mechanical power when the line voltage is 400 V or a shaft rating of 3 HP at 480 V. The output is limited by a continuous line current of 5.6 A, while acceleration or braking surges can reach 8.6 A for two seconds. The electronics are housed in a dust- and splash-protected IP54 enclosure. The housing measures 328 mm in height, 128 mm in width, and 190 mm in depth, allowing wall or panel mounting without a separate cabinet. This arrangement also places the control and power connections near the motor-driven equipment, which can reduce the length of local cable routes.

The drive requires a 3~ input that matches standard industrial three-phase mains. The flow-optimized FL03 option adjusts pump speed according to process demand, helping the drive respond to changing flow requirements. The DPAP selection provides dedicated application parameters for the configured process functions.
