Product Description:
The 131X6123 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the FC 111 Flow Drives series. Classified in the VLT Flow Drives product group, this H5-frame inverter controls centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other flow-driven machinery by adjusting the output frequency supplied to a three-phase induction motor. Integrated flow-control functions support closed-loop pressure or level regulation without external throttling, helping reduce energy consumption in industrial pumping and ventilation applications. The drive can respond to changing process demand while maintaining controlled motor speed and stable flow.
Rated at 22 kW, the inverter can deliver up to 42.5 A of continuous output current to the motor terminals, providing stable operation across the 0–50 Hz process range. Its typical efficiency of 97.9% limits internal power losses and reduces the amount of heat released inside the cabinet. The housing has an IP20 protection rating and is supplied on a backplate for installation inside a ventilated switch cabinet. Its overall dimensions are 334 × 402 × 314 mm, allowing adequate panel space and airflow clearance to be planned around the unit. An integrated Class A1 (C2) RFI filter reduces conducted electrical emissions, while reinforced coating on the internal circuit boards provides additional resistance to moisture and airborne contaminants. The drive does not include a local control panel, so parameters can be accessed through remote tools or a compatible plug-in keypad.
The power section accepts a three-phase 380 to 480 V AC supply and draws up to 41.5 A during continuous operation, so upstream conductors and protective devices must have suitable ratings. Unshielded motor leads may be installed over distances of up to 50 m, and the terminal blocks accept mains or motor conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 16 mm². With a mass of 9.5 kg, the unit can be secured to an appropriately rated cabinet mounting surface. The drive has no brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be managed by the motor and load or by separate external braking equipment. It does not require an auxiliary 24 V power supply. The lack of a local control panel also allows parameter access to be positioned away from the cabinet interior. The coated circuit boards make the unit suitable for pump rooms and similar locations where humidity or airborne contamination may be present.
