Product Description:
The 131X6121 AC variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss and belongs to the FC 111 Flow Drives series. Designed for throughput-controlled pump and fan duties, the drive converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a variable-frequency output that maintains constant differential pressure, flow, or level in automated plants. Mounting the unit in a control cabinet near the motor provides electronic speed regulation without mechanical throttling. This arrangement can reduce energy consumption and limit unnecessary stress on piping, ductwork, and connected mechanical components. The drive can adjust motor speed as process demand changes instead of operating the motor continuously at full speed.
The input terminals accept a three-phase supply of 3 × 380–480 V AC, allowing the drive to connect directly to standard industrial mains within that voltage range. The inverter has a continuous motor output rating of 15 kW, allowing it to control a compatible motor without output derating under the stated operating conditions. The unit uses an IP20 enclosure with a back plate, which permits convection cooling inside the control panel while helping prevent accidental contact with live components. For harsh indoor atmospheres, the circuit boards have a reinforced coating that protects them against condensation and airborne contaminants. A common parameter structure supports integration with other Danfoss VLT drives and provides a consistent arrangement for drive configuration and process-control settings.
The drive has no brake unit, so energy generated during pump or fan deceleration must be managed through controlled ramp settings or suitable external equipment. The unit is supplied without an LCP, so configuration and monitoring require a compatible remote keypad or PC-based connection. It carries the 111 series code and belongs to the VLT Flow Drives product group, which is intended for proportional-flow control and cascade operation of parallel pumps. The drive is also supplied without integrated power input accessories, allowing external fuses and disconnect devices to be selected according to the installation and applicable electrical standards. These external protective devices must be sized for the drive’s input current, supply voltage, and local installation requirements.
