Product Description:
The 131X6117 is a variable-frequency converter manufactured by Danfoss for the FC 111 Flow Drives series. Within the broader VLT Flow Drives product group, this model serves as a dedicated pump and fan controller, varying motor speed so that flow or pressure tracks setpoint commands instead of remaining at a fixed mains frequency. When integrated into building services or process skids, it can reduce energy use, soften startups, and maintain stable throughput without requiring mechanical throttling equipment.
The drive is rated at 4 kW, meaning its inverter section can continuously deliver four kilowatts of motor output to a connected induction motor. It accepts a supply of 3 × 380–480 V AC, so the input bridge can rectify standard three-phase industrial power across that voltage range. Under full load, the line current reaches 8.3 A, while the output stage provides a continuous motor current of 9.0 A. The motor current can briefly rise to 9.9 A during acceleration or valve operation. An enclosure rating of IP20 with a back plate supports cabinet mounting in clean electrical rooms where protection against finger contact is required.
For electromagnetic compatibility, the built-in RFI network meets class A1 (C2), helping the installation satisfy conducted-emission limits on typical factory power lines without external filters. The circuit boards have a reinforced coating as standard to resist moisture and airborne contaminants, supporting operation in humid pump rooms. The drive has a voltage class of T4 and is designed for a balanced three-phase input. No auxiliary power input is needed because the control electronics draw power directly from the mains. The drive does not include an internal brake chopper, so dynamic stopping must rely on motor deceleration or suitable external braking equipment. A local control panel is not fitted, so adjustments must be made through the connected host controller.
