Product Description:
The 131X6115 is a variable-frequency flow drive produced by Danfoss within the FC 111 Flow Drives series. Designed for centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other process equipment, the unit converts fixed mains power into a modulated three-phase output that lets a controller match motor speed to actual flow demand. By adjusting motor torque electronically, it helps automation systems reduce energy use while keeping differential pressure or level targets stable.
The IP20 open-chassis housing is intended for mounting inside a protective cabinet while allowing airflow across the heat sink. The input section accepts a three-phase mains supply of 3 × 380–480 V AC, and during continuous operation, it draws up to 4.7 A. On the output side, the inverter can supply a transient current of 5.8 A for 60 seconds to accommodate acceleration or momentary pressure spikes. Its output frequency spans 0–500 Hz, so standard two-pole and four-pole induction motors can operate above base speed when the application permits. The continuous rated current at 40 °C is 5.3 A, reflecting the thermal limit of the H2 frame.
The drive’s power stage is rated at 2.2 kW, matching small-to-medium pump motors found in secondary loops or dosing skids. It operates with grid frequencies of 50/60 Hz without DIP switch changes, allowing use with either supported frequency. The net mass is 3.7 kg, so the unit can be mounted beside control equipment without adding substantial cabinet weight. A reinforced conformal coating shields the circuit boards from moisture carried by process airflow. Emitted radio-frequency noise falls within class A1 (C2), permitting installation on industrial feeders that share sensitive instrumentation when appropriate shielding practices are followed. The drive has no built-in brake resistor or local control panel, so control commands must come from an external device.
