Product Description:
Danaher made the SSM-28-F which is a 25-AMP Temperature Control Module. It is built with a digital display and features that make it easy to control the temperature. It can be used in systems that keep precise track of temperatures and can also be integrated into industrial automation processes.
The SSM-28-F temperature control module can handle potentiometric input with a 22 megohm resistance. With the help of an RC filter and a flexible link resistor R4, a diode clamp protects the input. Stability of the input amplifier is kept at 0.02°F per °F. When the processor is in Auto mode, the control module has a Smart Start function that gives a linear power ramp below 212°F. The Smart Start mode lasts for 4 and a half minutes and takes over from Auto mode when the temperature drops below 212°F. T/C break and inverted T/C are not affected by manual mode. A three-digit display and LED diagnostics make the action clear. Temperature is fixed to within ±1°F by the reset feature. The manual control can be set anywhere from 0% to 98%, and it keeps the output within 1% of the setting. Power reactions take less than 0.13 seconds. When operating in Auto mode without Automatic Bumpless Transfer, the SSM module ensures that power is shut off during all T/C fault conditions.
Because of these specifications, the SSM-28-F temperature control module maintains accurate output control and safe heater dry-out operations. It works with both J-type and K-type thermocouples and can handle temperatures up to 1000°F. The order of operational mode choice is very strict, ensuring that everything functions smoothly and safely. The control module is designed to help robotic systems maintain process reliability.
