Product Description:

The SS400-11082/RECEIVER is a field installed module developed by Danaher that accepts input from Safescan transmitter channels and drives external safety circuits. It features yellow steel housing with a keyed status indicator switch. It also includes multiple N type connectors that are labelled from channel 1 through 8.

This Danaher timers and controller series unit also has internal printed circuit boards that house power transformers, power filters, logic relays and wiring terminals. It includes up to 8 independent channels and also features a high efficiency step down transformer that provides stable power to internal control electronics. This module equips filter capacitors, voltage regulators, opto isolators and microcontroller logic downstream. It has electrolytic capacitors and relay driver transistors PCB features that are visible in the interior. Its housing includes mounting tabs and it is rated for standard AC line voltage and low 24 volts DC internal logic. The device status switch sends system ready signals and its component layout provides easy field wiring access. Its functionality integrates with safety light curtain transmitters and it receives synchronous RF or IR pulses from the Safescan transmitters unit. It powers internal solid state relays to switch control outputs and its output terminals are routed on multi pin connector blocks.

The SS400-11082/RECEIVER follows safety control requirements where multiple redundant channels are needed for layered presence detection. It has multiple channel inputs that enhance fail safe monitoring. Its internal components include printed circuit boards with relay capacitors and coils that can be serviced. For maintaining signal integrity, all of its connectors are metal threaded N threads. The module power supply contains an energy storage capacitor that is rated 250 volts and mixed power electrolytic that is rated 33 micro farad at 250 volts AC.

Frequently Asked Questions about SS400-11082/RECEIVER:

Q: What is the advantage of having eight independent input channels in the SS400-11082/RECEIVER?

A: It enables the monitoring of multiple safety zones independently. This reduces the risk of single-point failure in multi-zone applications.

Q: How does the step-down transformer in SS400-11082/RECEIVER affect power stability?

A: It ensures consistent low-voltage supply to sensitive internal circuits. This reduces noise and voltage fluctuations that may affect logic performance.

Q: Can the SS400-11082/RECEIVER be used with standard control output interfaces?

A: Yes, it connects via multi-pin blocks compatible with typical safety relays and PLCs. This simplifies integration into existing automation systems.

Q: How does synchronous signal decoding impact the unit’s response time?

A: It allows immediate relay activation upon validated input detection. This ensures fast system reaction in safety-critical operations.

Q: What installation consideration should be made for the N-thread connectors?

A: They require precise torque to maintain shielding and signal integrity. Improper installation may introduce noise or intermittent faults.
