Product Description:

Danaher makes the HZ172A601 timer specifically for use in counting and control applications. The timer is mounted on the front. With a total count range of 2–100, the timer can enable basic counting from 1-40. The clutch coil is connected to the first and second terminals. Terminals 6-8 and A-B are linked instantaneously.

The HZ172A601 timer has a circular count dial with a locking attachment that can be added if desired. A neon pilot light is integrated into the timer to show that the clutch coil is activated. Only after releasing the clutch can the settings be changed. It has a reverse clutch mechanism that allows for regulated actuation and release while operating and is supplied by a 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz source. In addition, the dimensions of 182.6 mm in depth and 118.1 mm in height are provided. The pulse-actuated counters with instantaneous and delayed switching operations are supported by the HZ timer in industrial automation systems. The front-mounting technique employs a preset screw and cutout pattern. The HZ172 timer has dimensions of 7.19 inches on the floor, 4.12 inches on the sides, and 4.65 inches on top. Four 0.149-inch-diameter holes spaced 4.25 inches apart are required for mounting.

The reverse clutch terminal layout enables uniform wiring across standardized panels. When the count hits zero, the delayed contacts that are coupled at terminals 4-3 and 9-10 close. Energizing the clutch starts a count pulse, which in turn starts the actuation sequence. Contacts can change state depending on where the pointer is. When you cut off the power, the clutch resets. To ensure correct cycle completion, the position of the pointer specifies contact states. The built-in neon indicator makes operational visual monitoring much easier.
