It is a pneumatic interval timer that uses reverse-start control, meaning the timing cycle begins as soon as supply power is removed from the control terminals. With a dial circumference of 7.85 inches and divisions of 0.5 minute, the timer can be set for delays between one and thirty minutes. This adjustable range supports timed control of pumps, heaters, material conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
The internal magnetic clutch draws 10.5 VA, while the synchronous motor requires only 2.45 VA, so the unit places a minimal load on a 120 VAC panel circuit. Its coil is wound for 60 Hz, ensuring synchronous rotation of the time-base gear train when connected to North American mains power. The timer has a pull-in time of 28 ms, which indicates how quickly the relay armature engages after the driving voltage is applied.
