The HP510A601 is an electromechanical timer manufactured by Danaher for the Timers and Controllers series. It is used to start or interrupt machine operations after a preset interval, allowing repeatable sequencing in conveyors, ovens, or batch-processing equipment. A synchronous motor drives a cam and switch assembly so the device can perform single-shot or repetitive timing tasks without relying on solid-state electronics. This motor-driven arrangement provides a direct mechanical method for controlling equipment that must operate according to an adjustable schedule.
The control circuit is designed for a supply of 120 VAC at 60 Hz. The motor has a burden of 2.45 VA, while the clutch has a burden of 10.5 VA, keeping continuous power demand modest. Upstream protection must accommodate the maximum inrush current of 10 A. The front dial has a minimum setting of 1 hour, and the total selectable range reaches 30 hours.
