Product Description:
Danaher makes the HN364 timer and controller, which comes in a two-unit box with a 9-position surface mounting layout that does not include a terminal block. The HP5 CYCL-FLEX series synchronous motor-driven reset timer is integrated into a standard plug-in enclosure. Many industrial automation procedures rely on the product's cycle time.
The HN364 timer and controller comes with 16 common time ranges that cover 5 seconds to 60 hours. The time intervals are set with a knob that is held by a calibrated dial that is 7.85 inches around. The controller comes with a power-on clutch as standard and a backward action clutch that does not reset when the power goes out as an option. At 120 VAC, the motor weighs 2.45 VA, whereas the clutch weighs 10.5 VA. At 120 VAC, the output is capable of handling 10 amps of resistance. The controller has a resistance capacity of 5 amps at 240 VAC. At maximum load, the electrical life is up to 250,000 operations, whereas at 1 amp load, it is up to 5 million operations. The housing is constructed of 15-terminal ABS with a UL rating of 94V-0 for resistance to force and fire.
The HN364 timer and controller works in temperatures from 0°F to 140°F and does not change when exposed to periodic vibrations of up to 2.5 g in all three directions at 10–900 Hz. The fastest option allows for a half-second reset time. The power input voltage can be 120V or 240V at 60 Hz. The timer has many approvals, including UL recognition, CSA certification, FM approval, and RoHS compliance. These requirements are put together to ensure that computer control systems always function properly and reliably.
Frequently Asked Questions about HN364:
Q: Why does HN364 timer use a synchronous motor-driven reset?
A: The synchronous motor-driven reset in HN364 ensures precise timing control that remains stable across ranges. It delivers consistent cycle timing with minimal mechanical variation.
Q: How does HN364 achieve a fast reset at maximum setting?
A: The HN364 achieves a half-second reset through an efficient clutch and motor system. This design minimizes downtime and supports accurate repeat operations under load.
Q: Why does HN364 provide dual voltage input options?
A: The HN364 supports 120V and 240V at 60 Hz. Dual voltage flexibility allows integration in varied control panels that require different electrical supply ranges.
Q: How does HN364 maintain reliability over 5 million cycles?
A: The timer supports long operational life by limiting inrush current to 10 amps. Electrical components are designed to handle frequent cycles at reduced current loads.
Q: Does the timer housing meet non-combustible material standards?
A: Yes, the ABS housing is UL rated 94V-0. It provides high impact resistance and non-combustibility, ensuring safety compliance with strict electrical equipment standards.
