The HM303A6 is a high-speed controller. It is capable of giving accurate counting, stable performance, and versatile functionality for any number of control and monitor applications. It has two inputs, with suitability for contact-closure inputs or 3.5 to 15 VDC square wave inputs, allowing flexibility for use with a range of systems.
The unit will take a count capacity of six decades with polarity and is thus capable of counting positive and negative counts correctly. A high-visibility red LED display 0.6 inches (15.4 mm) tall provides good visibility, and the decimal point may be programmed to suit various measurement applications. For control outputs, the HM303A6 features eight NPN transistor outputs with sinking capacity up to 28 VDC at 100 mA maximum, offering solid interfacing to external devices. Program and data are retained during loss of power through utilization of built-in nonvolatile memory, avoiding downtime and lost data. The enclosure front panel is NEMA-4 rated with a gasket for dust-tight and water-resistant protection. The control inputs can accept contact closure or 12 VDC inputs. It comes with an incidental pulse width of at least 25 milliseconds for secure triggering and avoiding false counting. The HM303A6 includes an RS-422 serial interface. It supports ASCII data exchange at a user-programmable baud rate for flexibility. It also has a 12 VDC accessory power output of 120 mA maximum for driving small peripheral devices.
