The HG109A6 is an industrial timer produced by Danaher within the Timers and Controllers series. Classified as an electromechanical repeat-cycle unit, it drives two independent output circuits that alternate between energized and de-energized states according to front-panel settings. By using a synchronous unidirectional motor and cam stack, the device delivers predictable timing for conveyors, batch fillers, or indexing tables. Its mechanical contacts suit panel layouts where physical contact isolation is preferred for switched loads.
Nominal power is drawn from 120 VAC mains at 60 Hz, and the synchronous motor consumes only 2.5 VA while driving the cam. At the completion of each cycle, the dial returns to its reference point with a repeat accuracy of 0.5% of the dial range, so process intervals remain tightly aligned even during extended operation. Two Form C relay stages switch up to 10 A at 120 VAC, permitting direct control of solenoid valves, motor starters, or indicator lamps without an interposing contactor. Separate ON and OFF scales allow unequal dwell times to be set for applications such as washdown pauses or feed strokes. The independent scales also allow each portion of the cycle to be adjusted for the operating sequence of the connected equipment.
