The Danaher HG102A5 is part of the Timers and Controllers series and operates with a 120 V, 50 Hz synchronous unidirectional motor. It features an ON/OFF repeat cycle timing mode with a time range of 150 seconds and a mechanical life of 10,000,000 operations. The timer has 2 SPDT output contacts rated at 10 A at 120 VAC resistive, and it functions over a temperature range from -20 to 140 °F.

Product Description:
The HG102A5 is an industrial timing relay produced by Danaher within the Timers and Controllers series. As a repeat-cycle on/off controller, it operates contactors, solenoid valves, or indicator circuits at set intervals so machines can index, purge, or dwell without supervisory PLC code. The synchronous motor inside the cam assembly synchronizes its timing with the power-line frequency, providing consistent cycle periods for equipment in process lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells.
The internal power draw is only 2.5 VA at 120 VAC, so the unit imposes minimal load on a control transformer. Its output contacts are rated for 10 A at 120 VAC for resistive loads, allowing the relay to switch compatible heaters, indicators, and other resistive control loads directly. The dial covers a full cycle length of 150 seconds, enabling slow purge or mixing operations. Timing repeatability remains within ±0.5% of the dial setting, which supports consistent dwell times over extended production runs. The timing motor is designed for a supply of 120 V at 50 Hz, allowing the relay to maintain its intended time base on compatible power systems.
The relay operates across a temperature range of -20 to 140 °F, allowing cabinet placement near ovens or in unconditioned warehouses. Its cam and gear train are rated for 10,000,000 operations, supporting prolonged repeat-cycle operation while maintaining mechanical timing accuracy. The switching arrangement provides two independent circuits through two SPDT contacts, giving each circuit normally open and normally closed connection options. A quiet, maintenance-free unidirectional synchronous motor rotates the timing mechanism in a consistent direction during operation. The dwell and overlap window can be adjusted to a minimum of 2 seconds, while the switch is rated for 250,000 operations under full load.
