This electromechanical design provides a simple solution where programmable logic is unnecessary or already fully utilized. By integrating directly with relay coils or starter circuits, it contributes predictable sequencing to automation panels while maintaining isolation between the low-power timing mechanism and the controlled load.
The device operates on a nominal supply of 120 VAC at 60 Hz, drawing only 2.5 VA so it can share auxiliary power with lamps or pilot devices. A single-turn knob spans a full cycle of 60 seconds, and the scale permits a minimum setting of 1 second for short impulses. Once adjusted, the elapsed time has a repeatability of 0.5% of the dial setting, making the unit suitable for synchronized indexing or dwell control. Overlap between consecutive cycles may be limited to 1.5% of the total cycle, helping prevent conflicting actuators from being energized simultaneously.
