Product Description:

Danaher produces H2-1522-1151 as a panel mount temperature controller. It provides a process temperature control range from 0 to 1500 °F and it operates from a nominal 115 VAC power supply, with support for both 50 or 60 Hertz input frequency. This controller uses transformer isolated low voltage control circuits and its typical contact capacity is 5 A at 120 VAC.

The H2-1522-1151 controller uses a front panel rotary dial for setpoint selection. Its dial scale is printed with clear temperature graduations and a red pointer is used to mark the control setpoint while a white pointer is used to set the control differential. The controller operates in an on/off switching mode and its switching output is provided through an internal electromechanical relay. The relay operates when the process temperature crosses the set threshold and its contacts are designed for resistive as well as inductive load operations. Its output and input power points are located on the rear terminal block. This H2-1522 controller provides sensor input terminals for temperature probe connections and it accepts compatible thermocouple or RTD sensors within the defined range. Its housing is intended for front panel mounting and a threaded mounting collar secures the housing to the panel, while a rear spring bracket locks the controller in position.

The H2-1522-1151 controller comes enclosed in a frame of dimensions 7 inches height, four inches width and four inches depth. It has a total weight of 1 kg and its enclosure is rated for dry indoor use in control cabinets, as there is no weatherproof or washdown protection provided. The unit’s control circuitry is designed for stable operation under typical industrial ambient conditions and it is intended for single channel process temperature regulation.

Frequently Asked Questions about H2-1522-1151:

Q: How does transformer-isolated circuitry improve safety in the H2-1522-1151?

A: Its transformer isolation prevents direct electrical connection between input and control circuits, enhancing operator safety and reducing signal interference in industrial environments.

Q: Why is a rotary dial preferred over digital input for the H2-1522-1151?

A: The rotary dial allows rapid visual adjustments and tactile feedback, making it ideal for applications where simplicity and quick access are prioritized.

Q: How does the dual-pointer system on the H2-1522-1151 assist in precise control?

A: The red pointer sets the target temperature, while the white pointer defines the control differential, allowing tighter or broader hysteresis based on process needs.

Q: What’s the benefit of using both RTD and thermocouple inputs in the H2-1522-1151?

A: This flexibility allows the controller to be integrated with various sensor types, adapting to different industrial setups or retrofitting older systems.

Q: How does the electromechanical relay in H2-1522-1151 affect switching reliability?

A: The relay provides mechanical switching that can handle resistive and inductive loads, making it robust for motor and heater controls.
