Product Description:
The CX202A6 is a panel-mount electronic timer and counter produced by Danaher in the Timers and Controllers series. It combines event counting and incremental time measurement in a single housing, then drives an integral Form-C relay when preset values are reached. This arrangement provides a convenient way to start feeders, stop indexing tables, or generate maintenance prompts inside automated lines. It eliminates the need for separate modular counters and individual relays while preserving straightforward front-panel programming.
The front face presents a 4.5-digit LCD with characters that are 0.5 inch tall, providing clear status visibility at typical control-cabinet distances. Internally, the device stores up to 19,999 counts, so it can monitor high-resolution encoder pulses or long production runs without overflowing. Timing functions span from a minimum increment of 0.001 second to a maximum interval of 199 hours 59 minutes; consequently, the same hardware covers millisecond indexing and multiday soak cycles. All setpoints are retained in nonvolatile memory and entered through pushbuttons without removing power, which speeds changeovers between batches while keeping accumulated totals intact. Scaling factors can also be selected through the menu to display engineering units directly.
The electromechanical output is rated for 10 A at 120 VAC, and the contacts withstand approximately 20 million operations under a light load. The logic section operates from a single 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply and remains stable from 0 to 60 °C without additional cooling. The device maintains 100% count accuracy, with repeat timing held to ±0.001% or 35 ms and setting accuracy held to ±0.1% or 50 ms. Startup latency does not exceed 300 ms, while reset cycles clear in 30 ms. The input circuitry withstands static discharges with peaks of up to 3,600 V.
