Product Description:
The C628-40000 Rate Meter is a panel mounted electronic instrument used for monitoring and displaying process rates. It features a dual display LED system with 5 digit primary and single digit secondary displays. It supports count and control inputs, solid state and relay outputs as well as analog linear outputs.
The count inputs of the C628-40000 rate meter support sinking, sourcing or contact closure types and handle frequencies up to 10 kHz. Input logic recognizes a low state at ≤ 2.0 VDC and a high at ≥ 3.0 VDC with a 30V maximum. Sourcing input impedance is 10 kΩ to common; sinking input impedance is 4.7 kΩ to +voltage. Magnetic input range of the model is 0.6 to 30 V peak. Control inputs of this meter are edge sensitive and sinking type with the same logic levels as count inputs. These have a 25 ms response time and serve functions such as display hold and security lockout. Outputs include an NPN open collector rated at 30 VDC and 100 mA maximum and a mechanical SPDT relay rated 5 A at 110 VAC. Latency for switching is 75 microseconds plus an 8 ms pull in time for the relay.
The Danaher C628-40000 rate meter’s linear analog output supports current and voltage ranges: 0 - 20 mA, 4 - 20 mA, 0 – 10 V, 2 – 10 V, 0 – 5 V and 1 – 5 V. It maintains an accuracy of ± 0.25 % (at 250 Ω for current, 2k Ω for voltage) which degrades to ± 0.5 % under load. Output resolution is 8 bits within 250 ms and up to 10 bits in 1 second. The update rate is approximately 4 seconds. Load impedance should be up to 500 Ω for mA and minimum 500 Ω for V outputs.
Frequently Asked Questions about C628-40000:
Q: What are the recommended load impedance values for the C628-40000’s analog output?
A: The load impedance should be up to 500 Ω for current outputs and at least 500 Ω for voltage outputs. This ensures proper linear analog signal performance and output stability.
Q: How does the C628-40000 Rate Meter handle different count input types and frequencies?
A: The C628-40000 supports sinking sourcing and contact closure input types. It handles frequencies up to 10 kHz with input logic recognizing low at ≤ 2.0 VDC and high at ≥ 3.0 VDC.
Q: What are the control input features of the Danaher C628-40000 Rate Meter?
A: The control inputs are edge sensitive and sinking type with a 25 ms response time. They use the same logic levels as count inputs and support functions like display hold and security lockout.
Q: What output options and switching performance does the C628-40000 offer?
A: The outputs include an NPN open collector rated at 30 VDC and 100 mA max. It also features a mechanical SPDT relay rated 5 A at 110 VAC with 75 microseconds latency plus 8 ms pull-in time.
Q: How accurate is the linear analog output of the Danaher C628-40000 Rate Meter?
A: The analog output supports multiple current and voltage ranges with ± 0.25 % accuracy at specified loads. Accuracy can degrade to ± 0.5 % under load conditions with output resolution up to 10 bits.
