Product Description:
The BR15A610 is an on-delay timer produced by Danaher within its Timers and Controllers series. Designed for surface mounting in control panels, the unit introduces a precisely measured delay between the application of power and the energization of a connected load. This delay supports sequenced starts, anti-short-cycle protection, and process settling periods in industrial automation systems.
This model operates from a single-phase supply of 120 VAC and maintains correct operation across a voltage range of +10% to -15%. The coil accepts a mains frequency of 50/60 Hz, allowing the timer to work with either supported frequency without a converter. Its standard on-delay timing mode offers a minimum setting of 1.8 s and a full-scale range of 60 s. The clutch has a burden of 4 VA, while the motor has a burden of 3 W during operation. Dial graduation accuracy remains within 2% of full scale, while long-term repeatability is maintained within ±0.75% of full scale to support consistent timing cycles. The mechanical clutch engages in 30 ms and releases in 4 ms, allowing the timing mechanism to respond promptly to changes in the control signal.
The load circuit uses a transfer contact rated at 10 A and ¼ HP for 120/240 VAC motor loads. The contact also supports 0.5 A at 125 VDC and 0.25 A at 240 VDC, providing compatibility with both AC and DC control circuits. After a timing cycle is completed, the mechanism resets within 200 ms, allowing the timer to begin another cycle with minimal delay. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -23 °C to 60 °C, supporting use in a variety of indoor industrial settings. An included pilot light provides a clear visual indication of the timer’s operating status. The surface-mount enclosure fits directly onto a control panel without requiring a socket or recessed opening.
