The A103-007 is an electronic counter from Danaher within the Timers and Controllers series. Installed on a machine panel, it tracks event totals or machine cycles so a PLC or operator can trigger service actions at a predetermined count. A nonvolatile battery keeps the tally during power loss, and the sealed faceplate allows the unit to operate on washdown production lines without extra protection.
The internal lithium cell supplies 3 V, preserving data when mains power is absent. A seven-digit, 12 mm-high readout is rendered on a backlit LCD, giving clear visibility under low ambient light. The molded bezel carries a NEMA 4X rating, blocking water and corrosive cleaners. Counting can be unidirectional, and a single preset stops the totalizer once the stored value is reached. For rapid sensing tasks, the high-speed input accepts edges up to 10 kHz. Pulse widths down to 45 µs are tolerated on the fast channel, while the low-speed input operates at 30 Hz and must remain high for at least 12 ms to support reliable detection where contact bounce is likely.
The signal terminals withstand up to 28 VDC, covering most sensor outputs without level shifting. A solid-state switch rated for 0.1 A at 30 VAC/DC handles preset completion. The device uses an isolated PhotoMOS relay, so load return lines stay separate from logic common. The relay’s on-state resistance remains above 50 Ω, which helps limit inrush current. The rectangular opening required in the enclosure measures 33 × 68 mm, and the front gasket seals the gap once the counter is clipped into place. Its dual-rate input conditioning supports high-speed electronic signals as well as slower signals from mechanical contacts in packaging, cut-to-length, and batch-processing equipment.
