The 80Q2A60901 is a fixed-range time-delay relay produced by Danaher for the Timers and Controllers series. Built for cabinet installation, the unit introduces an adjustable pause between an energizing command and contact transfer, allowing conveyors, heaters, or starters to operate in a controlled sequence without additional PLC code. By coordinating motion and load events, this relay supports industrial automation applications that require consistent timing and electrical isolation. Its integral timing circuit controls power-side switching while the logic side remains at low signal levels, reducing wiring complexity in distributed control panels.
Incoming control power is 120 VAC at 60 Hz, so the module can use a standard U.S. power source without a transformer. A front dial selects a delay within a full-scale range of 25.6 s to 256 s, and the selected interval is maintained within ±5% of the set value. When de-energized, the contacts disengage after 30 ms, minimizing arc duration when inductive loads are connected. On the output side, the double-pole circuit carries up to 10 A at 250 VAC for purely resistive loads, giving the relay enough capacity to switch small motors, solenoid valves, or lamps. Temperature and voltage variations have negligible effects on timing drift across the usable delay range.
The relay uses a DPDT changeover arrangement, providing two isolated circuits that operate simultaneously.
