Product Description:
The Danaher 195316-053 Mechanical Counter is a gear driven linear measuring totalizer designed for precision tracking of linear movement. It features six white on black digits and a manual rotary knob reset. The unit is ideal for integration with measuring wheels commonly used in applications like roll goods measuring, sheet materials handling and machine tool positioning.
This 195316-053 counter operates via a geared drive system that records one count per defined shaft revolutions. It subtracts counts when rotated in the opposite direction if the reset knob remains unobstructed. It supports a maximum speed of 1500 rpm or 5000 counts per minute whichever is the limiting factor during addition. The unit employs a 0.375:1 gear ratio that is suitable for applications requiring precise scaling such as measuring in 1/8 yard increments. It features a torque rating of up to 1.5 oz-in (1.06 N.cm) for the 3:1 gearing configuration. The counter’s figures measure 0.345 inches in height and 0.250 inches in width. The mounting of this model is base type that allows for straightforward installation on various equipment. The case and worm base of the counter are made from zamak, a zinc based alloy known for its toughness. The baseplate is constructed from steel. The internal wheel and pinions are molded from acetal resin that provides wear resistance and smooth operation.
The right angle drive shafts of the 195316-053 counter are made from stainless steel and the bearings are composed of porous bronze impregnated with oil for low maintenance operation. The worm gear uses brass material while the worm itself is also stainless steel. The unit weighs 3 lb. (1.36 kg). Its reset function is handled by a manual rotary knob that allows fast and simple zeroing between measurements.
