The unit uses a synchronous AC motor to rotate a cam that actuates an internal switch at the end of a preset delay. Installed in conveyor, curing oven, or pump purge circuits, it supplies a dependable stand-alone timing function that continues even when higher-level control equipment is offline. The electromechanical design suits applications that require fixed, repeated cycles without programming and straightforward wiring.
Delay selection is made on a front dial that covers 40 minutes in total and is graduated in 1-minute increments for quick adjustment. Once engaged, the mechanism repeats the chosen period within 1.5% of full scale, limiting cumulative drift. The synchronous motor operates on 120 VAC single-phase utility power and is calibrated for 60 Hz service, so no auxiliary supply is needed. Six-inch, 20 AWG leads stripped to 5/8 inch exit the housing for line and load connections. Two tapped holes on the rear casting allow rigid panel mounting. A jumper between terminals 1 and 4 establishes the SPDT changeover contact required by many interlock circuits.
The output stage is rated at 10 A at 120/240 VAC, enabling the timer to switch solenoid valves, small motors, or resistive heaters directly.
