Product Description:
The 0799808-312 is an eight-digit electronic counter that Danaher supplies within its Timers and Controllers series. Designed for panel installation, the device records machine cycles, process strokes, or other operating events and presents the total on a compact LCD. In automated lines, it provides a direct visual tally of equipment activity, allowing production totals or operating cycles to be checked at the machine. Its sealed housing permits placement in industrial areas where dust or routine handling could affect an unprotected counter.
Measurement integrity is supported by a lithium energy pack rated for 10 years of continuous service, so battery changes can align with long equipment overhaul intervals. An internal signal conditioner accepts an AC/DC input, enabling connection to proximity sensors or relay contacts without regard to polarity. Pulse streams of up to 3000 cpm are captured without loss, matching the operating speeds encountered on indexing tables and punch presses. The input circuit draws only 2.5 mA, allowing it to be driven directly by compatible low-power logic cards. Mechanical integration is simplified by a rectangular 50.0 mm × 25.0 mm panel cutout that fits common operator-panel layouts and provides a compact viewing area.
The counter adds minimal mass to light enclosures, weighing only 2.0 oz (57 g). Its assembly is protected by a black modified polyphenylene case with a clear polycarbonate crystal, providing visibility while shielding the display and internal components. The counter circuit is powered solely by a self-contained lithium battery, eliminating auxiliary power wiring and preserving the recorded total during equipment outages. A remote reset path closes for at least 50 ms through an isolated switch contact, allowing a PLC or other control device to clear the register when required. The counter mounts securely on panels up to 0.250 in (6.4 mm) thick using the supplied spring clips, while pins measuring 1.6 mm in diameter provide the electrical interface.
