Product Description:
The 0799806-222 is a panel-mount electronic counter produced by Danaher as part of the Timers and Controllers series. It records individual switch closures so that assembly machines, test rigs, or packaging stations can monitor event totals without dedicating PLC memory. Installed through a 25 × 50 mm cutout, the device places an LCD indication directly on the operator panel and provides a simple means of verifying cycle counts in real time.
The enclosure is molded from modified polyphenylene, while a clear polycarbonate window protects the front face. Count values appear on a six-decade LCD with characters that stand 0.2 in high for easy reading under shop-floor lighting. The bezel fits a panel cutout measuring 25 × 50 mm, and the housing can clamp to steel up to 0.250 in thick, so retrofits rarely require additional brackets. Rear solder pins measure 0.062 in in diameter for direct board or harness termination, and a contact burden of 3 VDC at 500 µA lets dry contacts drive the input without auxiliary relays. Internally, six counting decades advance through a quartz timebase. The switch input must remain closed for at least 10 ms before a pulse is accepted, minimizing errors caused by contact bounce.
The unit processes pulses at rates up to 3000 cpm, allowing high-speed part feeders to report totals accurately. A sealed lithium power source keeps the memory and display active for 10 years, eliminating external power wiring for most installations. With a mass of only 2.0 oz, the counter adds negligible load to light-gauge panels. The panel or remote reset configuration allows the count to be reset locally or through a remote line. The switch input accepts either mechanical or solid-state contacts that meet the minimum reset closure time of 50 ms.
