Product Description:
The 0799806-212 electronic counter is produced by Danaher for the Timers and Controllers series. Intended for installation on machine panels, the unit records accumulated events or cycles and allows operators to view totals directly on its front face. Within an automation cell, it serves as a simple runtime monitor that can track strokes, batches, or operating hours without relying on a PLC or external memory. Its self-contained design also allows recorded totals to remain available when the connected equipment is not supplying power.
Counting data appears on a six-digit LCD display with characters that are 0.2 in (5.1 mm) tall, making them readable from moderate distances. A clear polycarbonate crystal protects the display, while the rear enclosure is molded from modified polyphenylene to withstand exposure to oils and vibration. The electronics accept AC or DC control signals and draw a maximum of 2.5 mA, allowing the device to be driven directly from compatible sensor contacts. It tolerates pulse rates up to 3000 cpm, provided the reset path remains closed for at least 50 ms. Mechanical installation is supported by a pin diameter of 0.062 in (1.6 mm) and a maximum panel thickness of 0.250 in (6.4 mm). Totals can be cleared through the front keypad or an auxiliary contact, giving the machine controls a local or remote reset option.
Long-term operation is supported by a sealed lithium cell with a continuous service life of 10 years, eliminating the need for external supply wiring. The counter weighs only 57 g, so it adds minimal load to light-gauge panels. Mounting requires a rectangular cutout measuring 50.0 mm × 25.0 mm; after insertion, the bezel compresses against the panel surface to help keep contaminants away from the internal circuitry. The device provides six counting decades and can display totals through 999,999 before rolling over. This range accommodates high-cycle machinery where accumulated production events must remain visible over extended operating periods.
