The 0799008-101 is a compact electronic counter and timer manufactured by Danaher for the Timers and Controllers series. It is intended for industrial automation panels where accumulated counts or elapsed process times must be recorded without an external power supply. The device mounts through a shallow cutout, integrates directly with sensor lines, and supports both local and remote reset functions so process totals can be quickly reset during changeovers.
An 8-digit LCD presents numeric data, and each character measures 0.35 in (8.9 mm) high so values remain legible at a glance. For high-speed indexing, the counter accepts pulses up to 10 kHz, and that channel recognizes TTL, CMOS, open-collector, and magnetic signals, eliminating the need for external signal conditioning. The count direction is controlled through the selectable X1 or X2 input logic. Accumulated values are timed against an internal crystal that maintains an accuracy of ±0.01%, ±1 count across the operating temperature range. A front-panel push button or a remote line can initiate the reset sequence. An internal lithium battery provides a typical operating life of eight years and retains data when the machine is turned off. Despite these functions, the unit weighs only 5.5 oz (156 g), making it suitable for panels where component weight and available mounting space are limited.
For slower mechanical devices, a secondary input is rated at 25 Hz and is designed for isolated switch or relay contacts, providing noise immunity when long cable runs are unavoidable. The molded front bezel has a NEMA 4 rating, permitting washdown cleaning in food-processing or pharmaceutical areas. The required panel cutout measures 2.63 × 1.31 in, while the minimum panel depth is only 0.70 in, allowing installation in shallow enclosures.
