The incoming signal reaches the mechanism through a brass fitting tapped at 1/8 NPT, allowing standard shop tubing to connect without adapters. Operation is maintained when the supply pressure remains between 40 psi and 150 psi; these limits protect the gearing against weak actuation or overloading. When properly supplied, the counter accepts pulses at rates up to 1000 cpm, so fast-indexing presses or packaging equipment do not overrun the wheels. The internal six-figure register advances toward a maximum indication of 999999 counts before rolling over. Its six-wheel design ensures that every digit changes cleanly at the correct carry point. Base mounting is supported by 0.128-inch holes cast into the body, and the one-piece construction helps keep the mechanism aligned during vibration.
