The 0120506-100 is an electromechanical totalizing counter produced by Danaher for the Timers and Controllers series. Designed for fixed installation in a control panel, the unit advances its mechanical register every time a voltage pulse energizes its coil. In automated packaging, machining, or test stations, this mechanical readout lets operators or simple PLC logic track completed cycles, schedule tool changes, and verify batch quantities without the overhead of digital displays or software scaling. Its direct-reading design also allows count information to remain visible without a separate electronic display or interface.
The counter operates from 115 VAC and draws only 6 W of nominal power, so it fits comfortably on common 120-volt control circuits. A solenoid-driven ratchet supports throughput up to 1000 cpm, provided each coil energization lasts at least 30 ms to complete a full stroke. The register contains 6 digits molded on nylon bobbins; each character is 0.188 inch high and 0.156 inch wide for easy viewing at arm’s length. These bobbins mesh with plastic wheels and pinions that turn inside a Zamak frame and cover, providing wear resistance and dimensional stability. When a count reset is required, the user rotates the thumbwheel on the front bezel. This manual reset mechanism allows the displayed total to be returned to its starting position without disconnecting control power.
The panel-mount housing slides through a rectangular cutout and locks in place with the supplied hardware. The assembly weighs 1 lb 4 oz (567 g), so it adds little mass to thin enclosure doors. Two factory-attached leads extend 7.5 in (190 mm) and are made from 22 AWG wire, allowing a direct line connection while leaving room for strain relief. Coil pulses must be separated by a minimum off-time of 30 ms so the armature can release before the next cycle. The Zamak frame supports the internal mechanism, while the plastic gearing transfers each solenoid stroke to the register. Nylon bobbins carry the printed characters and rotate sequentially as the accumulated count increases.
