Internal Product Review
The 21BRCX-601-H42/10 is a Danaher Dynapar resolver with an aluminum housing and a single servo groove mount. Stable signal performance comes from a 4 Vrms input voltage and 5 kHz excitation frequency. Low 25 mV null voltage makes this resolver a strong choice for accurate feedback applications.

Product Description:
The 21BRCX-601-H42/10 is a brushless resolver produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Resolvers series. It converts shaft position into analog sine-cosine voltages so a motion controller can determine absolute rotor angle and velocity in industrial automation equipment. Designed to mount at a motor or gearbox interface, the unit supplies passive, noise-immune feedback that withstands vibration and temperature shifts.
With an outside diameter of 2.1 in and an aluminum housing that is 1.06 in long, the resolver fits inside compact servo flanges that use a single servo groove for alignment. The winding set is excited at 5 kHz, a frequency that balances bandwidth with the attenuation of conducted interference. Drive electronics feed the primary with 4 Vrms while drawing only 25 mA, minimizing power dissipation in sealed enclosures. Magnetic coupling provides a transformation ratio of 0.50, so the secondary delivers half the primary voltage under nominal loading. A 0.5 in keyed rotor bore mates directly with standard motor shafts, and the 1.06 in rotor sleeve length supports the shaft along the full stack. The keyed connection prevents relative rotation between the resolver rotor and the monitored shaft during acceleration or load changes. Factory-attached 24 AWG leads are 12 in long, eliminating the need for additional connectors in tight spaces.
A pilot diameter of 2.061 in keeps the housing concentric with its mounting surface, reducing mechanical runout that could cause electrical error. Positional accuracy has a peak-to-peak deviation of 10 arc-min, while the electrical phase shift is −6 degrees; these values allow the controller to compensate for signal lag at high speed. The stator null voltage has a maximum value of 25 mV, indicating minimal residual output when the shaft crosses the electrical zero point. The aluminum housing supports heat transfer while keeping the resolver assembly lightweight. Its passive electromagnetic design does not require active electronics at the motor or gearbox interface, which reduces the number of heat-sensitive components near the rotating equipment.
