Internal Product Review
The 21BRCX-500-JC7A is a Danaher Dynapar resolver with a steel housing and double servo groove mounting, making it a dependable fit for motion feedback applications. Excitation at 6 Vrms and 7.5 kHz supports stable electrical performance in servo systems. Low 20 arc-min peak-to-peak error and 30 mV null voltage make the resolver a strong choice for consistent feedback accuracy.

Product Description:
The 21BRCX-500-JC7A resolver is produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Resolvers series. It serves as an analog position transducer that outputs complementary sine and cosine voltages so that motion controllers can determine the absolute shaft angle in demanding industrial environments. Because the resolver operates through magnetic coupling rather than optical sensing, it maintains feedback integrity in high-temperature, high-shock, or electrically noisy environments that can interfere with conventional encoders.
The outer stator diameter measures 2.1 in, the laminated body length is 1.25 in, and a precision pilot land of 2.061 in centers the unit in servo housings. A steel housing resists mechanical stress, while the double servo-groove mounting style locks the stator axially without shims. Excitation is supplied at 6 Vrms, and the winding is tuned for a carrier frequency of 7.5 kHz. The corresponding impedance is 75 + j105 Ω between the rotor and input (Zro), while the impedance between the stator output and reference (Zso) is 55 + j95 Ω. These values allow the drive electronics to match source impedance and maximize the signal-to-noise ratio.
The excitation path draws 55 mA, which is compatible with low-power resolver-to-digital converters. Electrical accuracy is limited to a total error of 20 arc-min, making the device suitable for medium-resolution servo loops. A transformation ratio of 0.33 sets the scale factor between the rotor voltage and differential output, while a null voltage of 30 mV indicates minimal residual voltage when the shaft crosses electrical zero. Signal timing includes a phase shift of -1° between the reference and sine outputs. Counterclockwise phasing causes the sine channel to lead during counterclockwise rotation. System inertia remains low because the rotor-stator assembly weighs only 11 oz.
