Product Description:
The 11RC-300-B1-R is an electromagnetic feedback element manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Resolvers series. As a resolver, it converts mechanical shaft position into analog sine and cosine signals for closed-loop motion control. Its laminated ferromagnetic core, rotor coil, and dual stator coils form a transformer pair that produces position-dependent voltages. The device mounts to motor shafts or gearheads so drives and controllers can track angular position, velocity, and direction in industrial automation systems. Its compact design fits within confined motor end-bell spaces and connects to servo amplifiers that accept traditional resolver feedback.
The resolver’s reference circuit operates with an excitation level of 7.5 Vrms at 4,000 Hz, and it draws 40.0 mA from the signal source. Under these conditions, the secondary windings deliver sine and cosine signals with a transform ratio of 1.07, providing the scale factor used by the control electronics. The electrical phase shift between the primary and secondary outputs is -2°, which supports precise interpolation without extensive software compensation. These electrical values are compatible with common resolver-to-digital converters, simplifying the interface design for motion drives. The analog output also allows the connected controller to determine rotational direction by comparing the changing sine and cosine waveforms.
Static performance includes a null voltage of 15 mV, limiting offset when the rotor and stator signals are aligned. Positional accuracy across a complete electrical rotation remains within 7 arc-min, supporting fine-resolution servo loops. The resolver is a speed-1 device, so one electrical cycle corresponds to one mechanical revolution and simplifies controller parameter setup. It uses a rotor winding excitation arrangement with brushless magnetic coupling through an internal rotary transformer. This arrangement eliminates slip rings and avoids the contact wear associated with continuously rotating electrical connections. The resulting feedback signals allow a compatible drive to monitor shaft position at standstill and calculate velocity while the connected motor is rotating.
