Product Description:
The 11BRW-300-F79/10 is an electromagnetic resolver produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Resolvers series. This part converts shaft position into two analog sine and cosine signals so motion controllers can maintain a precise rotational feedback loop in industrial automation. Its transformer-based design allows operation in electrically noisy environments where optical or magnetic encoders may be less suitable. It mounts directly on a motor shaft or gearbox to report the absolute angle over a full revolution without requiring contact between the rotor and its electrical connections.
The resolver operates with a single electrical cycle per mechanical turn, specified as single-speed operation, which simplifies angle calculations in the drive electronics. Excitation is applied at 2500 Hz, balancing the magnetic response with minimal capacitive loading along the cable run. The reference drive accepts an amplitude of 12.0 Vrms, while the winding draws only 3.1 mA, so power dissipation remains low in sealed housings. The secondary signal amplitude is one-half of the reference amplitude, as indicated by a transformation ratio of 0.50. This fixed ratio allows the controller to scale the demodulated voltages without using trimming potentiometers, which keeps signal processing straightforward.
The primary excitation coil is located on the stator, leaving the rotor passive and eliminating the need for slip rings. At the intended electrical zero, the resolver produces a residual null output of 30 mV. This small offset sets the minimum detectable error in the calculated angle when the rotor is aligned with the electrical reference position. Dynamic tracking accuracy is supported by a phase shift of −2° between the reference and modulated signals. Because the phase shift remains consistent during operation, the connected controller can compensate for it when processing the feedback signals. The resolver is manufactured by Danaher for servo applications exposed to the vibration and temperature changes commonly found in industrial machinery.
