Product Description:
The 11BRW-300-F1/3 resolver is produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Resolvers series. It is a rotary electromagnetic feedback device that converts shaft angle into complementary sine and cosine signals for closed-loop motor and positioning systems used in industrial automation. By supplying continuous absolute position without relying on optical tracks or reference markers, the unit provides noise-immune feedback suited for servo motors, indexing tables, and similar equipment that operate in electrically harsh or thermally demanding environments.
During operation, the exciter channel applies 12.0 Vrms at 2500 Hz to the primary coil, establishing the carrier that is modulated by rotor position. The coil draws only 3.1 mA, so drive electronics can use low-power oscillator stages while still producing a usable signal envelope. Secondary windings reproduce the carrier with a transformation ratio of 0.50, delivering half the excitation amplitude and simplifying gain matching in resolver-to-digital converters. When the rotor aligns exactly with electrical null, residual secondary amplitude is limited to 30 mV; this small null voltage establishes baseline accuracy and allows fine interpolation around the zero crossing.
The primary winding is fixed on the stator, eliminating slip rings and keeping the magnetic field concentric with the laminated core. Thermal endurance reaches 125 °C, permitting installation inside motor housings where winding temperatures are elevated. Electrical quadrature between the sine and cosine channels deviates by only -2°, maintaining low phase error for high-resolution conversion algorithms. The resolver is configured for one-speed operation, producing a single electrical cycle per mechanical revolution and giving servo controllers a direct, unambiguous relationship between the measured angle and shaft position.
