Product Description:
The 11BRW-300-F-58/10 is a rotary resolver produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Resolvers series. In closed-loop motion systems, this sensor converts the mechanical shaft angle into two analog sine-cosine signals so a drive or controller can calculate the position in real time without relying on fragile optical elements. Its rugged electromagnetic construction and transformer-style coupling make the unit suitable for harsh industrial automation environments that expose feedback devices to oil mist, vibration, and temperature fluctuations.
This model operates at a single electrical speed, so each mechanical revolution produces one complete electrical cycle for straightforward interpolation inside the drive. The excitation winding is energized at 2500 Hz; this carrier frequency supports the bandwidth of the demodulation electronics and helps reject low-frequency noise. During operation, the resolver draws only 3.1 mA from the reference source while accepting a nominal excitation level of 12.0 Vrms. The low current draw minimizes thermal rise in the stator and supports long cable runs from the drive. Signal amplitude is scaled by a transformation ratio of 0.50, meaning the secondary output voltages reach half the applied excitation under ideal coupling. This ratio simplifies gain settings on standard resolver-to-digital converters without requiring unusually high input amplification.
Vector alignment between the sine and cosine channels is controlled to a phase shift of -2 degrees, enabling accurate arctangent decoding without extensive phase compensation. The mechanical-to-electrical correspondence has a primary accuracy of 7 arc-min, providing predictable position error across the full rotation. A wound stator carries the excitation and sensing coils, eliminating moving electrical connections and improving service life. Residual voltage at the electrical zero crossing does not exceed 30 mV, so the null region remains shallow and linear interpolation stays reliable near the resolver’s electrical zero point. The electromagnetic sensing method also allows the resolver to retain stable feedback performance when vibration or contamination would interfere with more delicate sensing technologies.
