Product Description:
The 11BRCX-300-P10/6 is a brushless resolver built by Danaher and supplied under the Dynapar Resolvers series. Mounted on a motor shaft or gearbox output, it converts the mechanical angle into two analog sine-cosine signals that a servo drive or motion controller interprets as absolute shaft position. In industrial automation, this feedback device helps close position and velocity loops, allowing drives to keep machines synchronized even during rapid acceleration.
The resolver operates with an excitation level of 10.0 Vrms applied to its reference winding and is optimized for a carrier frequency of 5000 Hz. This operating frequency supports compatibility with standard drive electronics while maintaining stable resolver signals. Under these conditions, the device draws only 5.0 mA, so it can be powered directly from typical encoder supply outputs without adding significant heat to the motor housing. Its transformation ratio of 0.55 sets the relationship between the reference amplitude and each output signal, giving the drive predictable voltage margins for analog-to-digital conversion. The signal pair originates through magnetic coupling with a primary winding on the rotor, while the two secondary stator windings remain stationary.
An electrical speed constant of 5 indicates that five electrical cycles correspond to one mechanical revolution, allowing the controller to track angular movement throughout shaft rotation. During normal operation, any residual output while the shaft is aligned is limited to a null voltage of 20 mV, reducing offset errors at index positions. The resolver introduces a phase shift of -3 degrees between the reference and output signals, which the drive can compensate for during signal processing to restore quadrature. Angular accuracy is maintained within 6 arcminutes, making the unit suitable for medium-precision positioning tasks such as gantry axes, packaging cutters, and rotary tables. Its analog output format also allows the feedback signal to remain available across a broad speed range without relying on digital communication from the sensor.
