Product Description:

The Dynapar Encoders series includes PC15100C variant that features an optical incremental encoder with 1 to 2500 pulses per revolution (PPR). This innovative encoder comes with a 2 channel quadrature output format, optionally with index (Z) to track position and synchronize the system. The phase sense of this encoder will cause signal A to always lead signal B when rotating in a clockwise rotation, thus obviously seamlessly integrating with most of the machinery systems.

Powering the Danaher module requires 5 to 15 VDC voltage supply with a maximum current draw of 115 mA, including load requirements. This wide voltage range offers flexibility in different system environments, while the low current draw ensures energy efficiency. The encoder’s electrical output features the TC1428 differential line driver and is capable of sinking or sourcing up to 40 mA, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of industrial equipment. With a frequency response of 50 kHz, the PC15100C module provides high-speed performance in systems requiring quick data processing and real-time adjustments.

The encoder’s shaft is sized at a nominal 5/8 inch with a matching 5/8 inch shaft diameter. This precise dimension guarantees compatibility with a variety of mechanical systems for simplifying installation and reducing system errors. Its radial load rating of 45 lbs and axial load rating of 15 lbs indicate robust durability and resilience under mechanical stress, thus making it suitable for demanding industrial applications. Additionally, the unit has a maximum moment of inertia of 285 gm-cm², which allows minimal resistance during movement and contributes to smoother operation at higher speeds. The PC15100C features an aluminum housing and cover, stainless steel shaft, and Mylar disc for a prolonged and reliable performance.
