At 3600 RPM the HS35R2048H37C hollowshaft encoder functions with 80,000 hours of bearing life but it extends to 128,000 hours of life at 1800 RPM. The device provides two channel quadrature outputs (AB) and optional Z-index with complementary signals. Phase sense refers to the condition where channel A leads B on clockwise shaft rotation when observed from the shaft clamp end. This model’s quadrature phasing accuracy is maintained at 90° ±22.5° electrical while signal symmetry is controlled within 180° ±18° electrical. Shaft compatibility requirements include a radial runout of ± 0.025" along with axial ± 0.050" endplay. This encoder unit fits shaft sizes ranging from a minimum of 1.25" (32 mm) to a maximum of 2.0" (51 mm) with solid shafts recommended. Keyway shafts are accepted but flatted shafts should be avoided.
