Product Description:
The HS35010013010 is an Incremental optical encoder manufactured by Danaher that is designed for precise motion feedback applications. The encoder features a standard SE mounting style that supports tethered mounting and is built with a slotted shaft design for secure fitment.
The encoder is designed to perform functions on 5 – 26 VDC power source. The encoder features a 6-pin connector and provides an output type that is likely push-pull or line driver based on its voltage range and HS35R configuration. The HS35010013010 encoder allows incremental output with two-channel quadrature signals A and B (A leads B). Complementary outputs A’, B’, and optional Z’ are also possible. The resolution goes from 1 to 20,000 pulses per revolution. The electrical quadrature timing of the encoder is 90° along with 180° symmetry and ± 20°/30° tolerance. At 1000 pF load, the index square wave pulse is 180° gated to B low with less than 1 µs rise and fall duration. The encoder offers a standard operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C and an extended range up to +100°C. When used with the 4469 line driver, the standard range is set to 0°C to +70°C.
The HS35010013010 incremental encoder supports a vibration resistance of 5 to 3,000 Hz at 20G and is intended to handle shock levels up to 400G for 6 milliseconds. The encoder accepts a 1/4" bore size. The enclosure rating is IP67 that gives protection against dust and water. For shaft speeds above 5,000 RPM, the enclosure grade is IP64. The humidity tolerance is up to 98% in non-condensing situations. The encoder belongs to the HS35R series that is commonly used in industrial automation.
Frequently Asked Questions about HS35010013010:
Q: Why does HS35010013010 use a slotted shaft design?
A: The slotted shaft design ensures secure mechanical engagement that prevents slippage during high-speed operations and maintains consistent signal output.
Q: Does HS35010013010 support complementary outputs?
A: Yes, it provides A’, B’, and optional Z’ outputs that enable differential signal transmission and improve noise immunity in control systems.
Q: Why does HS35010013010 have 400G shock resistance?
A: The 400G shock resistance allows the encoder to withstand sudden impacts that occur in high-load or rapid deceleration applications.
Q: How does HS35010013010 handle extreme temperatures?
A: It supports –40°C to +100°C extended range that enables stable operation in environments with fluctuating thermal conditions.
Q: Do HS35010013010 quadrature signals include phase lead?
A: Yes, channel A leads B for CW rotation that provides correct directional information for motion control feedback systems.
