The Danaher HS202540454B7PS Sealed Hollowshaft Encoder offers a compact solution suitable for installations where space is limited. This model supports both high speed operation and environmental resilience.
This HS202540454B7PS sealed hollowshaft encoder features a resolution range of 1 to 2540 pulses per revolution (PPR) for applications that require both low and high resolution feedback. The shaft design of this model is electrically isolated. With a shaft speed capacity of up to 6000 RPM, this encoder can handle fast rotational systems. Its squarewave output waveform provides rise and fall times under one microsecond into 1000 pF load capacitance. The hollowshaft configuration simplifies mechanical integration by eliminating the need for additional couplings or brackets. Shaft bore tolerances are specified at +0.0002"/+0.0008" (+0.005/+0.020 mm) to ensure a precise fit. This encoder also includes an indexing feature of 180° with electrical gating at +18°/-135° relative to the B channel low state. The required shaft length is a minimum of 0.80" (20 mm) and the allowable shaft runout is ±0.005" (±0.13 mm) with axial endplay limited to ± 0.050" (±1.27 mm). The bearing life of this encoder’s shaft under maximum tether loading reaches up to 5×10⁹ revolutions for the standard tether and 8×10⁹ revolutions with the slotted tether.
The HS202540454B7PS sealed hollowshaft encoder operates within an input voltage range of 4.5 V DC to 26 V DC at a maximum current draw of 100 mA. This encoder includes comprehensive electrical protection, guarding against reverse voltage, overvoltage and short circuit conditions. Its compact form factor supports installations with limited mounting space especially where other designs might be impractical.
