Product Description
The HR52510000540PS encoder is a precision model from Danaher, part of the trusted Dynapar™ HR25 Series. As an incremental optical shaft encoder, it delivers precise positional feedback ideal for motion control systems. It allows for precise location tracking with a resolution range of 1 to 1024 pulses per revolution (PPR). Accurate directional detection and system synchronization are made possible by the two-channel quadrature output with optional index (Z) and complementary outputs. The device offers versatility in low-power configurations by drawing power between 5 to 26 VDC and consuming a maximum of 80 mA (excluding load).
Industry owners can choose between open collector outputs or differential line drivers like 4469 and 7272, which allows for interoperability with various signal processing systems. High-speed responsiveness is guaranteed by a minimum frequency response of 100 kHz, whereas in extended temperature models, the index channel retains a 75 kHz minimum. Connection options include 7-pin (MS3106A-16S-1S, MCN-N5) or 10-pin (MS3106A-18-1S, MCN-N6) mating connectors. The shaft fits 1/4” or 3/8” sizes and is made of stainless steel to maintain long-term mechanical durability. It can endure shaft loading up to 80 lbs. in both radial and axial directions at 0.25” from the face. The maximum supported shaft speed is 10,000 RPM, allowing use in high-speed rotary systems.
The HR52510000540PS comes in an aluminum housing with a Mylar disc which improves vibration tolerance and protects internal optics. With an operating temperature from 0°C to +70°C (extended to +85°C) and storage from –40°C to +90°C, it’s built for thermal resilience. The shock resistance is rated at 50 Gs’ for 11 ms while vibration durability spans 5 to 2000 Hz at 20 G’s. The NEMA 12/IP54 enclosure offers splashproof and dust-tight protection. The encoder’s rotational inertia of 3.7 g·cm² enhances response speed with low torque demand while the weight of 10.2 oz (290 g) provides further mechanical stability.
